COMPACT POWER:

At only 83mm (3 3/8") dia. it really lives up to it's 'Compact' name, whilst it's full size hardened scroll ring (same as a 100mm - 4" engineering chuck) means no compromise on holding power, standards of performance or accuracy.

CONSTRUCTION:

Chuck with TCJ075 Jaws

M ade throughout in '40 carbon tool steel with hardened & tempered Jaw Carriers, Operating Scroll Ring and Key for superior performance and chuck life

JAW MOUNTING:


	Unique 2 mounting hole allows exclusive use of the more robust Cap Head Hexdrive Screws for superior performance & screw life, plus only one size of screw with easy line of sight.

	UNIQUE GUARD:

	Safer working is ensured by enclosing the jaw slots, fully containing the jaws carriers and controlling movement within sensible working limits. The guard also controls jaw carrier positions to make servicing easier and less frequent by protecting against the ingress of debris.

	BUILT IN INDEXING:

	A ll Titan Chucks feature 24 indexing holes. This useful facility will benefit you in almost any area of turning from simply holding the chuck steady for hole drilling, to advanced decorative work.

	JAW RANGE:

	T he jaw range offers a wide choice of holding styles & options, with over 11mm (7/16"+) of movement and full expansion & compression working on all jaws. Thanks to direct line-of-sight screw access all jaws can easily be changed using only one size of screw without any need to remove the Jaw Carriers or worry about which jaw goes to which jaw carrier.


	TCJ025 JAWS:



	TCJ055 JAWS:



	TCJ075 JAWS:


	These are the smallest universal jaws in the range, and feature a 12mm (½") bore with matching internal dovetails, which also provides good square holding on lace bobbin blanks, etc. The 25mm (1") external dovetails provide an excellent expansion hold with good working access, plus the bonus of parallel ribbing for gripping in a bore. Ideal for applications as a peppermill, or making a quick mount for a bowl in a small offcut, etc.

	Their very thick section means a strong, non-flexing hold on a wide range of work whilst providing a good projection to allow rear work access. The internal bore and dovetail is 35mm (1¥") while the external dovetail is 55mm (2¼") A matching Faceplate Ring (FPU55) compliments the jaws for first stage work preparation.

	The 'workhorse' jaws of the range, coping with everything from workpiece preparation on a Faceplate Ring, or Screwchuck, to the finished product. Their powerful, close coupled design, means a very positive hold on any timber, making them the ideal choice for a wide range of Bowl and other work on their 75mm (3") external dovetails, or 50mm(2") internal dovetails.


	TCJ040 JAWS:

W ith 40mm, external dovetails, plus 28mm internal dovetails, and a plain bore, these provide a really useful addition between the small multi-purpose TCJ025 Jaws and the powerful TCJ055 - TCJ056 Jaws. They make an ideal companion set to any of the larger jaws for small bowl work (200mm -8"dia), and box making. They have accessory support with a choice of a small Faceplate FPU45, and an M6 Screwchuck (SCU06)


	TCJ056 "JUNIOR BULLDOG" JAWS:




	TCJ090 JAWS:


	Same external form as TCJ055 Jaws, but offer a completely different internal arrangement. The 20mm deep bore is machined to provide 12 rows of teeth to give a very positive spigot grip, particularly in the 35mm to 40mm range (1¥" - 1½"). Ideal for goblet type work, and bowls, etc. intended to be flush finished. The 55mm expansion dovetail fits in well to provide a reverse hold for items started in the spigot grip, including medium sized bowls.

	With 90mm (3½") external dovetail (same internal as TCJ075), these offer a larger alternative with a value added difference. The broad face of the jaws provide a platform for self-made add-on jaws and forms via the eight M6 threaded mounting holes. Brass M6 countersink screws are available. A matching Faceplate Ring (FPU90) compliments the jaws for larger bowl work, etc.


	TCJ092 "BULLDOG" JAWS:

Powerful spigot gripping jaws at 70mm (2¾") diameter, combined with a 90mm (3½") external dovetail form make these a formidable combination for larger work. Excellent for deep hollow forms & other projecting work where unsupported holding is required. The serrated teeth have been relieved (milled away) to reduce surface resistance, and by so doing the effective 'bite' into the wood is greatly increased.


	TCJ045 "BOXER" JAWS:

		I nitially designed, and named, for box making, these jaws have become very popular for a much wider range of applications.

	The slim section jaws feature unique micro grooved surfaces to grip internally and externally on a 45mm (1¾") diameter, so for boxes both lid and matching base can be mounted directly. The jaws also have internal & external shoulders to locate the workpiece accurately on axis – as illustrated in the section shown below.

	The micro grooving is also great for holding vase, and other forms because it does not need a dovetail form, and there is very little risk of surface marking.


	And to provide the icing on the cake, a light duty 1MT taper has been incorporated at the back of the jaws to hold a matching drive centre. This means the Boxer jaws can take you smoothly from raw timber between centres to finished article.

	TB04: ¾" x 16tpi, TB06: 1½" x 6, TB14:M33 x 3.5 pitch, TB28: 1" 8tpi, TB36: 1¼" x 9tpi

	TCJ125 MOUNTING PLATES:

Open up a wide range of mounting options with these 125mm(5") dia. plates. Designed to take MDF or wooden holding forms for square bowls, flush bowl bases, picture frames, etc. Mounting is amply catered for with a total of twenty M6 threaded holes to take any suitable M6 screw, Plastic Dovetail Bossses (with captive M6 Socket Screws) for direct work mounting are available, plus Brass M6 countersink screws for self-made holding forms.
